Clean & Clear Exteriors

New Business, New Website

A brand-new jetwashing business with no web presence beyond social media, given a clean, clear website and 1.07k organic impressions in its first 28 days.

The Problem

Alex had just started his business. He had a Facebook page, but no web presence beyond social media. This business needed to be discovered.

The Solution

Securing a domain and building a website that matched the energy of his social media, paired with on-page SEO, hosting and ongoing maintenance.

The Result

A website that's clean and clear. Site impressions trending upwards, built on organic traffic, 1.07k impressions in the first 28 days.

How we turned a brand new exterior cleaning business into a searchable, bookable website, inspired by nothing more than a blue polo shirt and a red cap

Some briefs come with a full brand guideline, a logo file, and months of planning. This one came from an Instagram grid.

When Alex, founder of Clean & Clear Exteriors, first got in touch, he had exactly what a lot of brand new tradespeople have: real momentum on social media, a growing list of happy customers, and absolutely nowhere online to send anyone who wanted to book him. No website, no domain, nothing beyond a Facebook page and an Instagram feed full of pressure washing transformations.

The Problem: All Momentum, No Home

Alex was already doing the hard part. He was out cleaning driveways, patios and exteriors across Essex and Suffolk, posting the results, and building a following that clearly liked what they saw. But every one of those posts led nowhere. There was no domain, no dedicated site, no simple way for someone to find him outside the walls of social media, check his coverage area, and actually book a job.

For a business that lives and dies on being found and trusted quickly, that gap mattered.

The Solution: A Website Built to Match His Energy, Not a Template

Rather than handing Alex a generic tradesperson template and asking him to fit into it, we built the site around him, starting with the one piece of branding he already had without realising it.

Finding the Brand in the Instagram Grid

Alex didn't have a logo, a colour palette, or a style guide. What he did have, consistently, across almost every post, was a blue polo shirt and a red cap, his actual work uniform, worn on every job.

That became the starting point for the entire visual identity. We pulled the palette directly from what Alex was already wearing every day: a bold, confident blue as the primary colour, paired with a sharp red for accents and calls to action. It wasn't a colour scheme invented in a mood board. It was already true, sitting right there in his own photos, we just had to notice it and build around it.

The result is a site that feels unmistakably like Alex before you've read a single word, because the colours are the same ones his customers already associate with him from every job he's posted online.

Securing the Foundations

Before any design work began, we secured his domain and mapped out exactly what the site needed to do, and just as importantly, what it didn't. Three things mattered: clearly explaining his services, showing his coverage area across Essex and Suffolk, and getting a quote request in front of someone as fast as possible. Everything else was cut.

Designing for Speed and a Single Clear Action

The build prioritised clarity above everything else. Large, bold imagery of his actual work. One obvious call to action on every screen, never competing messages fighting for attention. Copy that matched the same direct, friendly energy as his Facebook posts, rather than the stiffer, more corporate tone a lot of trade websites default to.

On-page SEO was built in from day one, targeting the specific towns Alex actually covers across Essex and Suffolk, so the site wasn't just live, it was findable by the people searching for exactly what he offers, in the places he actually works.

Built and Live Within a Week

From first conversation to launch, the entire project took one week. Domain secured, site designed and built around a brand identity that didn't exist yet at the start of that week, copy written, SEO structured, and hosting and ongoing maintenance in place.

The Result: Real Traffic, Zero Ad Spend

The numbers speak for themselves. Within the first 28 days, the site generated 1.07k impressions, entirely through organic search, with no advertising spend behind it at all.

More importantly, the site now does the job it was built to do. Every social media post Alex shares has somewhere to send people. The quote form turns casual interest into booked jobs, without Alex needing to manage the back and forth of enquiries through Facebook messages alone.

Why This Project Worked

Clean & Clear Exteriors is a good example of something we believe strongly at William James Creative Digital: a brand doesn't always need to be invented. Sometimes it already exists, in the way someone shows up, the colours they're already wearing, the tone they already use with their customers. The job isn't always to create something new. Sometimes it's simply to notice what's already working, and build a website that finally does it justice.

Alex had already put in the work to build trust and momentum on social media. All he needed was a home for it, one that looked and felt exactly like him.

If your business has momentum but nowhere to send people, we'd love to help. Whether that's a brand new site built in a week, or finding the brand identity that's already hiding in how you show up every day.
